Meet the Presenters

Dr. Chris French received his PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Virginia and currently works as Laboratory Directory at Eurofins SF Analytical Laboratories, in Tustin, California. He specializes in spectroscopic techniques including Fourier transform infrared and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopies which he uses for failure analysis, foreign material identifications and forensic investigations. Coming from a background in medical devices, Chris also serves as Study Director for Good Laboratory Practices-compliant projects. During his free time Chris enjoys sabre fencing and vintage Monty Python movies. 

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Trish graduated at the London Institute with a Bachelors Degree in Product Development. After relocating to Los Angeles, she transitioned into the events industry, contributing to high-profile projects such as award shows, private celebrity events and weddings. Through these experiences, she refined her expertise in project planning, team leadership, client relations, problem-solving, and professional communication.

Driven by a desire to return to the consumer products industry, she transitioned from her role as an Event Director and joined Eurofins, inspired by her background in Product Development. Trish has since developed extensive knowledge in global compliances and regulations, specializing in—but not limited to—packaging, food contact materials, and failure mechanisms. Her work with a diverse and expansive client base has further deepened her expertise, allowing her to navigate across multiple industries. In her spare time, she’s a self-proclaimed foodie and avid travel enthusiast, always on the lookout for new flavors and destinations to explore.
