While approved for use as a post-harvest fumigant in certain food commodities in the US, ethylene oxide is not approved for use in the European Union (EU). Recently, testing a wider range of food ingredients and products have become of interest for products exported to the EU or for other reasons. But what is ethylene oxide and how do you determine if your products and ingredients are at risk?
